Bromelain

BACKGROUND

Also Known As: Pineapple enzyme, Pineapple extract, Plant protease concentrate

Bromelain is an extract from pineapple stems that contains protein-digesting enzymes and helps soothe tissues.

Pineapples have long been used as a nourishing plant by natives of South and Central America to relieve digestive discomfort and tissue irritation.

Bromelain is used in health supplements today for soothing nasal passages and to support digestion.
