Caprylic Acid

BACKROUND

Also Known As: Octanoic acid

Caprylic acid is a fatty acid that is found naturally in the milk of some mammals, most notably goats, and in coconut and palm oils.  It has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties and is believed to help prevent infections.

Caprylic acid is used in health supplements today to aid in the healthy function of the digestive tract and reproductive organs.
