Echinacea is a flowering plant in the daisy family. Its leaves and flowers have long been used in Native American culture. In the 1800s, it became a popular health tonic in North America.
Echinacea is most commonly used in health supplements today to help support a healthy immune response and to support lymphatic and respiratory health.
