- Has been shown to soothe the discomfort and inflammation of everyday aches and pains*

- Contains enzymes, herbal extracts and whole herbs to provide synergistic benefits*

Ingredients:

Turmeric (Meriva®)   500 mg

Meriva® is a concentrated and patented turmeric extract that has been clinically-validated to be effective in more than 30 trials. Meriva® contains all three turmeric curcuminoids: Curcumin, Demethoxycurcumin, and Bisdemethoxycurcumin. Curcuminoids have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-viral properties. Turmeric, and more specifically Meriva®, has been shown to:

- Reduce inflammation at a molecular level by modulating inflammatory chemicals*

- Curb activation of transcription factor NF-kB (NF-kB is chronically active in auto-immune and inflammatory issues)*

Boswellia   150 mg

Also known as Indian Frankincense, Boswellia is a tree resin that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. This particular form of Boswellia has been carefully extracted to contain 65% boswellic acids. Boswellia has been shown to inhibits pro-inflammatory chemicals, including 5-Lipoxygenase (5LOX), leukotrienes, and transcription factor NF-kB.*

Tart Cherry (VitaCerry®)  25 mg

VitaCherry® delivers a full range of phytonutrients derived from whole, U.S.-grown Montmorency tart cherries. These natural compounds have been shown to work synergistically to boost antioxidant power and promote healthy inflammatory responses. VitaCherry® is five-times more concentrated than others forms of tart cherry extracts. Tart cherry extract contains nutrients, like vitamins A, C, K, manganese, potassium, copper, and small amounts of vitamin B, calcium, iron, magnesium, and omega-3. Tart cherry has been shown to:

- Support healthy inflammatory response*

- Protect against muscle strength loss & muscle soreness after exercise*

- Improve sleep*

- Ease symptoms of arthritis*

- Combat uric acid buildup associated with gout*

- Promote brain health*

- Support a healthy immune system*

Bromelain  50 mg

Bromelain, an enzyme extracted from pineapple, is a proteolytic enzyme that has been shown to break down protein-based antigens related to inflammation.*

Protease Enzymes  25,000 HUT

Protease enzymes break down proteins into their amino acid components. They have been shown to work within the body to break down protein-based antigens associated with inflammation.*

Quercetin  50 mg

Quercetin has been shown to support healthy inflammatory response, in relation to leukotrienes, histamine, prostaglandins and the COX-2 enzyme; and is known to work synergistically with bromelain.*

Nettle Leaf  25 mg

Nettle leaf has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, and has been shown to:

- Support a healthy inflammatory response*

- Be helpful in treating gout*

- Aid in blood sugar control*

- Potentially lower blood pressure*

- Reduce allergy symptoms*

- Reduce inflammation in the prostate*

Ginger Root  80 mg

Ginger has been shown to support healthy inflammatory response, circulation, and nitric oxide production in the body. In formulations, ginger is often used for its synergistic properties, to amplify the effects of other ingredients.*

ReCODE Protocol Supplement Formulas

– Frequently Asked Questions –

Q: Dale Bredesen, MD, has researched and recommended L-Citraline. Why wasn’t it used in the ReCODE Protocol supplement products?

A: L-Citraline is a potent nitric oxide booster. However, the volume of L-Citraline needed to get the desired effect is extremely high, so our formulators worked with Dr. Bredesen to identify and secure similar or superior ingredients. Alternative nitric oxide boosters, like beet root, ginger, and vitamin C, were included in the formulations to achieve the same or better results.

Q: Why was ubiquinone used in the products instead of ubiquinol?

A: Ubiquinone and ubiquinol are both effective forms of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). They are both isomers easily converted back and forth within the body. However, ubiquinone has a higher absorption rate, making it more readily available for use, and a lower bulk-ingredient cost. Choosing ubiquinone resulted in a higher ingredient-effectiveness rate and a lower product price for the finished product.

Q: Dale Bredesen, MD, has researched and recommended MCT oil. Why wasn’t it used in the ReCODE Protocol supplements?

A: A number of health benefits have been attributed to medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, and Dr. Bredesen is a proponent of it. However, when he worked with our product formulators, they determined potassium caprylate would be a better ingredient to use in the ReCODE supplements. Potassium caprylate is more stable, and a higher-density form of MCT, than MCT oil.

Q: Dale Bredesen, MD, has researched and recommended Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus brevis and Bifidobacterium lactis. Why weren’t these probiotics used in the ReCODE Protocol supplements?

A: Although Dr. Bredesen has recommended Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus brevis and Bifidobacterium lactis in the past, he and our product formulators chose to use Lactobacillus helveticus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and Bifidobacterium breve instead. These three probiotic strains provide similar or superior gut health benefits and have consistenly proven to have a stronger stability profile. Shelf-stable ingredients help to protect the potency and integrity of the ReCODE Protocol supplements.

Q: Why do some of the individual ingredient doses in the ReCODE Protocol supplement formulas differ from the ingredient doses recommended by Dale Bredesen, MD, in his book The End of Alzheimer’s?

A: Dr. Bredesen worked directly with LifeSeasons to create and formulate each of the ReCODE Protocol supplement products. Each ingredient was evaluated for its effectiveness, potency, stability, and cost. In a number of instances, ingredients were changed because a better source was identified.

Q: The ReCODE Protocol Core Kit contains four different products: Daily Balance powder, Daily Multivitamin, Daily Probiotics, and Daily Omega-3s. How was the ingredient mix determined and why were they formulated in this way?

A: Ingredients come in many different forms, and often drive product development based on their stability requirements and synergistic functions. The ingredients Dr. Bredesen wanted to include in the core kit were initially grouped based on form—oils needed to be in soft gels, larger-dose dry ingredients needed to be in capsules or powder. Taste and convenience were also taken into consideration. Ultimately, four separate core products were developed to encompass all of the ingredients needed to support those undergoing the Bredesen treatment protocol.

Q: Do all of the products work safely together?

A: Yes, the four core ReCODE Protocol products, and each of the six products developed to address specific subtypes identified by the ReCODE Report have been designed to be safe and effective when consumed daily. They have also been synergistically formulated—which means the ingredients are designed to amplify the effectiveness and potency of other ingredients within the same product family. Note: Some formulas should be taken in the morning, some with food and some without. Always refer to the label for suggested use.

Q: Should I be concerned about any of the ingredients in the ReCODE Protocol supplements interacting with other medications I may be taking?

A: As with any dietary supplement or prescription medication, do not take ReCODE Protocol supplements without first consulting your healthcare practitioner, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or are under medical supervision for any reason.
