The flu, short for Influenza, is a virus that spreads from person to person through direct or indirect contact, and also through the air. There are various types of the flu virus, and the strain changes throughout the year.

Flu season occurs during the winter months, during the coldest parts of the year in the respective hemisphere. The influenza virus is most prevalent in cold, dry temperatures, but can still be contracted throughout the year.1

- – Chili peppers, kiwi, pineapple, mango, brussel sprouts, and cauliflower are all packed with more vitamin C than an orange.
