Phosphatidyl serine (or Phosphatidylserine) is a phospholipid and a component of cell membranes. It is consumed in the diet primarily through fish and meat. It plays a key role in the maintenance of cellular function, especially in the brain.
Phosphatidyl serine is used in health supplements today to enhance cognitive function and athletic performance.
