Ginger is a flowering plant whose root or rhizome has long been used in folk medicine. It originated in the tropical rainforest of Southern Asia. In China, ginger has been used to help digestion and with stomach upset and nausea for more than 2,000 years.
Ginger is used in health supplements to support digestion and the immune system.
