L-Histidine is an amino acid used in the synthesis of proteins.  It is used in a wide range of metabolic processes in the body.  It is an important building block for growth in the body, and it contributes to the formation of blood cells.

L-Histidine is used as a health supplement today to promote a healthy immune system and red blood cell formation.
